Summary:

In October 2010, GFA missionaries Theo and Sarah van Reijn, along with their children Peter and Miriam, moved to the Netherlands. Besides moving into a new home, their initial months were spent in language acquisition -- Peter in Dutch school and Sarah in language school. (Since Theo grew up in the Netherlands, he already knew Dutch). At Christmas the van Reijns held an open house to meet neighbors and make new friends; thirty-five people attended.

As they have gotten settled, the Lord has given the van Reijns increasing ministry opportunities. In June they hosted BJU’s Musical Mission Team and made contacts through the team’s concert and two-day stay. A website has given additional contacts. In early summer the van Reijns began a four-week evangelistic study. They praise the Lord that one man professed faith in Christ! Theo is now teaching a discipleship class to two couples and a single lady, and he plans to begin a book study on Ephesians this fall. September 18 is a special event - the baptismal service for a husband and wife from their Bible study.

Pray for the Lord’s mind regarding the timing of beginning Sunday services and His provision of a stable Christian family to help with their church plant. The van Reijns welcomed Luke Christian into their family on August 10. To read prayer letters and updates from the van Reijns, go to www.HollandForChrist.com.
